Hello Planning Mashers!
Today we are doing a Space themed Bullet Journal setup, welcome to yet another Plan With Me post with tons of inspirations from other creators as well.
This post may contain affiliate links. They will be of no extra expense for you, but I receive a small commission. Please see my Disclosure for more details. Thank you for supporting Masha Plans!
As usual, I have polled you guys on Instagram (follow me and let’s decide the next one together!) and this time, you chose the Space theme for my July setup.
And I couldn’t be happier!
Things are pretty crazy for me right now. I left the USA and flew to Bolivia, but for two weeks I have to stay alone in my hotel room in a completely different city before I can fly back to my husband.
So yeah, you can understand when I tell you I’m not really feeling that inspired. Or, to be more accurate, I wasn’t.
BUT! Once we started polling theme ideas in stories, you guys gave me so many wonderful options that I could feel my creative juices flowing once again!
I think this theme was exactly the one to help me get through these times and to get into a creative mood again.
Now I’m so happy to share it all with you guys!
Also, I know space and galaxy are pretty popular Bullet Journal themes and there are so many different ways you can go about it.
That’s why in today’s post, I also included inspirations from other creators, who went in a bit of a different direction with this theme.
Ok let’s dive in!
First though, here is a little rundown of the supplies I used:
Nuuna Journal – not the best paper but I love how white it is and how small the grid is. You can check my complete review for more details.
Zebra Mildliners – my go-to supplies for coloring and they worked so well for this theme!
Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pens – my favorite fineliners, I love them for the bright and rich black color and smoothness of writing.
Helix Circle Maker – I did lots of doodling of planets and this little guy helped me to draw them all.
I started feeling creative so I wanted to doodle a lot, but I also felt like I wanted this theme to be more minimalistic. With tiny little doodles.
First of all, I think space looks much cuter that way. And secondly, because I didn’t intend to do a lot of layering or watercolor to make my planets look very different and outstanding. I wanted to make it simple and doodly.
It’s for you to decide but I think I made it pretty well. And this format works sooo well with Zebra Mildliner colors!
If it’s not broken why fix it, right? I’m going with the same monthly log as my April, May, and June setups. I just love this format so much!
I pretended that my calendar is a huge sun star and others just circle around it. I think it worked out nicely.
That way there are lots of tiny doodles like I wanted, but they aren’t too crowded or weirdly placed.
Also now this spread will always be “Summer Loving” spread since I was watching Grease for the first time while setting it up.
Yeah I know, I’m lacking a bit on pop culture, but I’m getting there!
Below is my to-do list. It’s not that I want to follow a list and do things – July is my recovery month (well, two weeks) when I’m finally back with the hubby and just going to enjoy being with him and the family again. No work or distractions.
But! I do need a lot of things – hairdresser for one! And probably a manicure. And buy lots of self-care products I ran out of. That’s what is going on a list here.
My Nuuna is much bigger than any other notebook, so actually I managed to include all my trackers on one page!
Probably because little planets really don’t take that much space.
But yup, here we are – a simple but very functional page with all my trackers.
It perfectly reflects that mostly in July I want to concentrate on being healthy and losing those extra kilos I got during my visit to the USA. And my two weeks in quarantine here.
What can I say, I’m stress-eating a lot! Food brings me too much comfort. Not healthy I know, but I’m working on it.
Being stuck in such a weird situation really taught me just how important the family is.
My family took such incredible care of me in these difficult times and honestly I don’t know what I would do without them.
Now that I’m almost back home, I want to once again pay extra attention to this and be sure I always remember what amazing people are around me.
That’s why this month we are back to a gratitude log.
I’m not sure if I’ll be using lettering or doodle my gratitudes, I’ll see how I feel that day I guess.
My quarantine here really pushed me with my Animal Crossing!
I’m redecorating and rebuilding my island and loving it so much!
I also became more active with my friends and that’s why I need this spread now. I keep forgetting who has what island.
This spread is the one to help me navigate and always know who to send my next special present.
Stickers I used here are of my own design and they are available as a printable set on my Patreon, together with tons of other goodies for your Bullet Journal.
Be sure to check it out and maybe join our little Patreon family!
Space and Galaxy Bullet Journal Theme Inspirations
Finally, here are inspirations from other creators. Each of them had their own take on the Space Bullet Journal theme and it was so interesting to see it.
I hope they inspire you as much as they inspired me!
